Psychodynamic therapy in Victoria BC

Sometimes the problem isn't a lack of insight. It's that the same themes keep showing up anyway: in relationships, self-talk, anxiety, or the way you carry responsibility. Psychodynamic therapy is a gentle, depth-oriented way to understand what's underneath the pattern, where it came from, and what you need now. Available in-person at my downtown Victoria office or online throughout British Columbia.

Approach: Curious, collaborative exploration that links past and present.

Focus

  • Long-standing patterns in relationships and self-talk
  • Attachment themes and family-of-origin dynamics
  • Identity, meaning, and life transitions

What to expect

We'll connect the dots between past and present, with attention to how patterns show up in your everyday life. I keep the work grounded and collaborative. If skills (CBT/DBT/somatic tools) would support you, we can integrate them alongside the deeper exploration.

FAQs

  • Is this only talk?
It's a talk therapy, but it's not “just talking.” We link insight to real change: noticing patterns sooner, making different choices, and building skills that support steadiness in your relationships and daily life.
  • How often?
Weekly or biweekly is common at the start to build momentum and safety in the relationship. As things stabilize, we can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals.
  • Online?
    Yes.
