Trauma therapy for PTSD and complex trauma

Trauma can show up in so many ways: hypervigilance, shutdown, panic, numbness, shame, people-pleasing, and relationship struggles. If your nervous system has been shaped by what happened (or what didn't happen), it makes sense that life can feel exhausting.

I offer staged, trauma-informed therapy that prioritizes safety and stabilization first, then moves into deeper processing when you're ready. We go at your pace.

Location: 612 View St., Unit 210 (downtown Victoria) • Online: Across British Columbia.

What we address

  • Complex PTSD and attachment wounds
  • Chronic hypervigilance, anxiety, or panic
  • Shutdown/numbness, freeze, fawn, or dissociation
  • Flashbacks, nightmares, startle responses
  • Relationship impacts of trauma (trust, intimacy, safety, conflict)

Approach

Our work is staged and collaborative: we build safety and stabilization, strengthen nervous system regulation, and develop the internal and practical supports you need. From there, we can use EMDR and other trauma-processing approaches as appropriate, always with integration and gentleness at the centre.

FAQs

  • How fast do we move?
We move at your nervous system’s pace. We'll build stability first. When you're ready, we process in small pieces, with lots of permission to pause and adjust.
  • What if I shut down or get overwhelmed?
That's a very common trauma response, and it makes sense. We'll work with it (not against it) using grounding, somatic tools, and parts/attachment awareness. I use titration in small, manageable steps so we stay within your window of tolerance.
  • Do you integrate somatic work?
Yes. Trauma is not just a story. Somatic regulation is woven into every stage so you can build steadiness, track cues of safety, and feel more choice in your responses.
  • Do you collaborate with other providers?
Yes, with your consent. If it's helpful, I'm open to coordinating with your physician, psychiatrist, or other providers so your care feels more integrated and supportive.
